A unique, outdoor mikva, a bastion of holiness, in a backyard oasis of nature and serenity.

Welcome to the Garden of Eden Mikvah. Just as garden is nurtured with life-giving waters, we are building a unique Mikvah which will rejuvenate and nourish the spirit of Jewish women throughout Miami and the world. Our vision is to build an oasis of holiness that will serve our own Skylake neighborhood. And a unique Mikvah that will serve the countless Miami Jewish women who are looking for a different kind of Mikvah experience. A more gentle, non-intimidating, and nature immersive Mikvah experience.

We envision a luxurious, yet home-like Mikvah, hidden in the Rebbitzens backyard, a secret garden with a Mikvah as its crown jewel. A haven for body and soul, we anticipate that the unique charm of our Mikvah will revive an appreciation for the importance of Mikvah for the over 2000 Jewish couples in the general vicinity. Many of whom have never kept this most holy of mitzvos.

Our neighborhood NEEDS this urgently because  there is no Mikvah within reasonable walking distance in the Skylake area. When their immersion night falls out on Shabbat on Yom Tov, Jewish women from Skylake must choose to either walk alone on dark and deserted streets to the nearest Mikvah over two miles away, or push off this holy mitzvah. The Garden of Eden Mikvah will thus fill a vital need for a Skylake neighborhood Mikvah.

We estimate that our Mikvah will service 20-30 women per week, right from the start. G-d willing, we hope to have 50 users per week by the end of the first year of operation. The total cost of The Garden of Eden Mikvah Project is estimated at $478,000. The Mikvah plans have been made, and permits are in process. The building phase is beginning, but we still need partners to see this important project to its completion.

We welcome you to join in this historic and much-needed project. A Mikvah is so essential to Jewish life, that Jewish Law mandates that if the nearest Mikvah is more than a two mile distance away from the commuinty, they have an obligation to build one close within their midst, so that all their women can easily take part on this holy mitzvah. In these difficult times, when our nation is threatened by evil on all sides, the mitzvah of Mikvah protects and strengthens our families and our future.
